Goals

Within its sphere of activity, the Borch Textile Group will continue to be one of the most environmentally-friendly producers. The greatest possible care will be taken of the internal and external environment during:

  • Our own production
  • The production of materials purchased by the Group
  • Sales
  • Distribution

Policy

Borch Textile Group will

  • Always choose the most environmentally-friendly option to the extent that our competitive ability allows
  • Comply with environmental legislation at all times

Suppliers

When selecting suppliers and materials for the purposes listed below, the Borch Textile Group places particular emphasis on the following:

Piece goods

The lowest possible chemical content, including formaldehyde, arylamines from azo-dyes, heavy metals and pesticides (Eco-Tex standard 100)

The Group will also insist upon the most environmentally-friendly production and after-treatment of piece goods possible.

Machines and equipment

When purchasing machines, transport material, etc. for internal production purposes, the consumption of energy and level of pollution must be factored into the choice of supplier.
If possible we only use recycled material Packaging materials

When choosing packaging materials such as cellotape, film and cardboard boxes, the Group will choose articles marked "RESY" whenever possible.

When choosing transport companies, the Group will consider the companies' vehicles as well as their environmental policy.

Waste disposal

All waste disposal must comply with the "provisional order for industrial waste"

Production

In its own production premises, the Borch Textile Group has installed exhaust systems on all its sewing machines so that the production is conducted in an almost dust-free environment, with the dust sucked into special filters.
